This week's outfit was created based on two things: some socks and some piercings. Go figure!

Yes, those little kawaii sockies! I had to get the shirt to match, so there went my spending money for the weekend... but that's ok, totally worth it. ;) They color change and everything so I can be rainbow kawaii everyday!

Many moons ago I was quite the anime fan, and I'm still absolutely addicted to Sailor Moon. Maybe I'll get me some cosplay garb in the future.

These awesome dimple piercings caught my attention on the Marketplace. For the life of me I can't remember what I was searching for, but these came up and I had to get them! And two other pairs, for variety! I couldn't pass them up at L$9 a piece.

These things deserve a close-up... the shadowing is built in to the piercing, so instant dimples!

Saturday Night Fever!

I love disco! I really do! The music, the mood, the clothes; I'll take it all. So for this week's post I decided to base my look around this delightful free Afro hair that I got from no.match!

Many thanks to Aria Olivier for her assistance in choosing what makeup and jewelry was most fitting for the look. Google was only so much help and having a knowledgeable opinion was appreciated.

I absolutely fell in love with this hair the minute I put it on... honestly, I figured it'd be great for a laugh but then it actually looked rather stylish (in my adorKable little way.) My original thought was to use a cute pair of orange pants that I'd gotten as a group gift from Mag<3,B however by chance I found the matching top and flare pants by *TuttiFrutti* at a discount sale event that I believe was called My Attic.

The shoes! OHHH the shoes! I searched and searched for something that would look right and I had a hell of a time. As a hopeful effort I teleported out to Hilly Haalan (which I adore for Slink heels) and looked over the discount walls. I was about to purchase these when I thought to check my inventory, only to discover that I already had them. As you can see, they're perfect.

My next step is to get out there and see if I can pick up a date while I'm dressed like this... any takers?

In my travels across SL this week I encountered this charming gentleman, Dirk! He was kind enough to allow me to take his picture for Berry's blog challenge this week. I liked his style, especially with the evil bunny slippers. It struck me like a very classy hobo kind of look and fantastic! The anime look to his face is eye-catching, and though I don't usually care for long hair on men he made it work.

Simply Ador(k)able

Though I'm not posting near as often as I'd like to, I keep telling myself that I'm getting into the swing of things - the consistency will come with time, yes?

For today's post I picked an absolutely precious little dress that I got from the Jungle Room, courtesy of Lordes of London. I'm certainly a sucker for a good deal and for L$10 (plus joining a free group) I was able to get this dress in a variety of different colors!

I think my favorite bits of this outfit have to be the shoes, the dress itself (as I mentioned above), and the hair.

The shoes are "Savona" from KC Couture - I believe I purchased them on sale. They are HUD controlled with a lace design on the sides. Main color and strap color are changeable. The shoes are made for either Slink feets (Mid) or Belleza feets.

As for the hair... well. I didn't think I'd look okay without SOME kind of bangs, but I was very wrong! The style here is "Tallulah" from [elikatira]; tthe hair color and accessory color are HUD controlled.

In true Elikapeka fashion, all the hair at the [e] store has been on sale LONG past the stated end of the ninth birthday event - all color packs, as of this blog posting, are L$99 each. Get down there and get your hurr on before she catches up!

Something I've added for this post, also, is a makeup tattoo layer. My go-to for most makeup in Second Life is GLAMORIZE. While the store, both in SL and on the Marketplace, doesn't appear to have had an update in some time it seems to be going strong. Different options are available, such as simply eye shadow or lipstick packs... or you can buy entire little face combos, most of which come with separate tattoo layers for the lipstick and eye shadow! Packs range from approximately L$3 to L$25.
